The All-Star squads were released for the Triple-A All-Star game on Thursday and two players from the Nashville Sounds were selected to represent the Pacific Coast League.

Pitchers Jimmy Nelson and Donovan Hand were both names to the PCL roster, with Nelson slated to get the start in the game.

Through 16 games for the Sounds (15 starts), Nelson has a record of 10-2 with a 1.56 earned run average. He leads the PCL in strikeouts with 110 through 104 innings of work and allowed just six earned runs through the entire month of June.

Hand has a record of just 1-4 with a 5.40 earned run average. He did manage to rack up 13 saves before being removed from the closer’s role with the Sounds, which still ranks as fourth best in the PCL.

Nashville hitting coach Bob Skube will also be serving as a coach for the PCL on the All-Star staff.

The Triple-A All-Star game will be played on Wednesday, July 16th with a start time of 7:07 pm EST at Durham Bulls athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina, home of the Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A affiliate.
