Clark Named Player of the Week
Nashville Sounds first baseman Matt Clark was honored as the Pacific Coast League’s Player of the Week on Monday for the week of August 18th-24th.
Clark hit safely in all seven games last week, going 15-for-28 (.536) with two home runs and nine runs batted in and nine runs scored.
Since joining the Sounds in early July, the 27-year-old first baseman is batting .333 with 13 home runs in 45 games and currently holds a 14 game hitting streak.
The Sounds series with Sacramento continues from Nashville on Monday night, before the team heads out on the road for a five game set at Round Rock to wrap up the regular season.
