Taylor Named MWL Player of the WeekMilwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Tyrone Taylor was named the Midwest League Player of the Week for the week ending June 9th. The 19-year-old center fielder went 12 for 23 last week, good for a .522 batting average. He had a pair of doubles, to go along with a triple and a home run.
For the season Taylor is batting .277 through 55 games for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He has four home runs and 24 RBI. The Brewers second round pick in 2012 out of Torrance, California has scored 32 runs and stolen a team high 14 bases. Taylor has hit in eight straight games, and has multi-hit games in five of those eight contests.
