Memphis 0, NASHVILLE 5
Jimmy Nelson continued his domination of the Pacific Coast League, going 6.2 innings without allowing a run to earn his tenth win. Alfredo Figaro and Jeremy Jeffress combined to retire the final seven batters and preserve the shutout. Matt Pagnozzi led the offense going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs. Jason Rogers and Pete Orr each went 2-for-4 while Jeremy Hermida doubled and drew a pair of walks.
HUNTSVILLE 1, Mississippi 5
Starting pitcher Brent Suter struggled once again as he allowed five runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings and took the loss. The Stars managed just four hits with D’Vontrey Richardson going 1-for-3 with a walk. Nick Ramirez, Taylor Green and Josh Prince each singled for the only other Huntsville base hits.
Daytona 3, BREVARD COUNTY 4
The Manatees came back from down 3-1 with single runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings to defeat Daytona 4-3. Nicky Delmonico belted his fourth home run of the year as part of a 2-for-3 game that also included a walk. Mike Garza went 2-for-3 with a double and Michael Reed and Nathan Orf each added a double as well. Jorge Lopez started and went six innings, allowing three runs, one earned. Chad Pierce followed and worked two scoreless to earn the win and Mark Williams set down the Cubs in order in the ninth for his seventh save.
Cedar Rapids 6, WISCONSIN 1
The Kernels put up three runs in the first against starter Barrett Astin and that would prove to be enough scoring for Cedar Rapids as they held Wisconsin to just one run. Astin allowed six runs, five earned in six innings of work. Clint Terry followed with three scoreless. Johnny Davis and Rafael Neda each collected two hits for the Timber Rattlers and Michael Ratterree added a double.
Great Falls 3, HELENA 1
Helena managed just one run on a solo home run by catcher Greg McCall as they fell to Great Falls 3-1. Chad Thompson started and went five innings, allowing three runs and striking out seven but was charged with the loss. Javier Salas followed with three scoreless innings of relief and Donnie Hissa added a scoreless ninth.
AZL BREWERS 4, AZL A’s 2
The Brewers AZL team used a three run third inning to help defeat the A’s 4-2. Yunior Santana hit his first home run of the year as part of a 2-for-4 night for the Maryvale squad, while Monte Harrison and Matt Martin each picked up two base hits as well. Seth Harvey got the start for the Brewers as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. He went two innings and allowed one run. Joshua Torres was next up and gave up only one run in four innings of work to earn the win. Gian Rizzo tossed the final three innings without allowing a run and gave up just one hit to notch his first save.
DSL BREWERS 18, DSL Yankees2 5
The Brewers erupted for 18 runs on 20 hits as they knocked off the Yankees 18-5. First baseman Nicol Valderrey had four singles and a walk and drove in four runs while Raphachel Colatosti went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two walks. Franly Mallen and Joantgel Segovia each collected three hits and Kevin Martinez, Henry Correa and Julio Mendez each added two hits. Yosmer Leal started and went 4.2 innings before giving way to Orlando Torrez who pitched 1.1 innings and got the win.

Matt Pagnozzi (Nashville Sounds) – 3-for-4, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R
Nashville’s catcher provided Jimmy Nelson all the run support he would need as he belted not one, but two home runs in the Sounds 5-0 victory on Wednesday night. Pagnozzi also singled in four trips to the plate.

Nelson continued to impress for Triple-A Nashville, adding 6.2 scoreless innings as he picked up his tenth win to improve his record to 10-2 on the season. Nelson lowered his earned run average to 1.56 through 15 appearances, 14 starts for the Sounds.
