He stole seven bases in seven attempts and collected 31 hits in 25 games. Through 105 games this season with the Manatees, the former second round pick out of Torrance, California is hitting .288 with a league leading 35 doubles to go along with three triples and six home runs.
Matos hit .371 in 21 games for Helena in July after being promoted from the Brewers AZL affiliate in Maryvale. 11 of his 33 hits last month went for extra bases and he knocked in 24 runs. For the season, the 20-year-old Dominican has a .315 average with seven home runs and 34 RBI in 35 games.
