The Brewers started their final series of 2016 with a 6-1 loss to the Cubs on Friday night at Miller Park. Ariel Pena got off to a fast start, striking out five in his first two innings of work, but struggled from there, allowing four runs, three earned in 4.1 innings as he suffered the loss. Khris Davis led the way offensively for Milwaukee, going 2-for-4 with his 27th home run of the season. Domingo Santana singled and walked in four trips to the plate with Scooter Gennett adding the only other Brewers base hit of the game.
