Brewers Claim Guerra Off Waivers

The Brewers made a move to bolster their pitching staff on Wednesday, claiming right-handed pitcher Junior Guerra off waivers from the Chicago White Sox.

The 30-year-old Venezuelan made his big league debut with Chicago in 2015, appearing in three games during the month of June for the White Sox.

To make room for Guerra on the 40-man roster, Milwaukee designated catcher Nevin Ashley, who made his debut with the Brewers as a September call-up, for assignment.
