Shortstop Jean Segura and pitchers Wily Peralta and Will Smith all managed to avoid going to arbitration on Friday, agreeing to one year deals for 2016.
Segura (25), was an All-Star in 2013 after being acquired from the Los Angeles Angels the previous season. He appeared in 142 games as the Brewers starting shortstop last season. He hit .257 with six home runs and 50 runs batted in.
Peralta (26), made his big league debut in 2012 and racked up a career high 17 wins in 2014. He took a step backwards last season however, starting 20 games and going just 5-10 with a 4.72 earned run average while missing roughly two months with a strained oblique muscle.
Smith (26), was acquired following the 2013 season from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for outfielder Nori Aoki and turned into one of Milwaukee’s top bullpen arms, going 7-2 with a 2.70 ERA in 76 relief appearances.
