Spring Training Game Recap 3/2/16

UW-MILWAUKEE 2, BREWERS 11

The Brewers got home runs from Orlando Arcia and Will Middlebrooks as they thumped the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 11-2 in a tune-up for Cactus League action on Wednesday afternoon. The Brewers got on the board first when Will Middlebrooks singled home Domingo Santana in the bottom half of the first innin, then tacked on four more in the third with the long balls from Arcia and Middlebrooks. They added another in the fourth and four more in the seventh, highlighted by a Shane Peterson double which scored Josmil Pinto and Ramon Flores before closing out the scoring with a run in the eighth. Nine Brewers pitchers saw action, with each going an inning and only Hiram Burgos was scored upon. Sean Nolin picked up the win after a scoreless frame in which he struck out a pair and Austin Ross closed out the game by striking out the side in the ninth.
