Spring Training Game Recap: 3/9/16

BREWERS 5, ROYALS 7

Milwaukee dropped their third straight game on Wednesday afternoon in Surprise, Arizona, falling to Kansas City 7-5. The Brewers got on the board first, putting up three runs in the top of the first. Keon Broxton singled home Domingo Santana with the game’s first run, then Broxton and Kirk Nieuwenhuis both scored on a double by Chris Carter. The defending World Champs rallied to take the lead before Hernan Perez tied things back up at 5-5 with a home run in the sixth. The Royals plated a run of their own to e-take the lead in the bottom of the sixth and tacked on an insurance run in the eighth. Wily Peralta started on the mound and went 1.2 innings, allowing three runs. Adrian Houser was charged with the loss after giving up a run in his two innings of work.
