Spring Training Game Recap: 3/11/16

RANGERS 8, BREWERS 5

Matt Garza was in midseason form, giving up three runs in three innings of work as the Brewers dropped their fifth game in a row on Friday afternoon. Milwaukee got on the board first following a long home run from Domingo Santana to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Texas responded with three in the second off of Garza, but the Brewers rallied back to tie things up in the third on RBI singles by Santana and Andy Wilkins. The Rangers broke things open with five in the sixth off of reliever Michael Blazek, who was charged with the loss, and Milwaukee was unable to recover. Michael Reed added his first home run of the spring, and Santana finished the game 3–for-3 with two runs batted in.
