The Milwaukee Brewers announced the release of minor league pitchers Connor Baits and Evan Parker via their Player Development Twitter account on Wednesday morning.
Baits, 22, was drafted in the 33rd round of last year’s draft by the Brewers out of UC Santa Barbara. He appeared in just eight games for Milwaukee’s AZL affiliate in Maryvale, Arizona, going 0-2 with a 46.06 earned run average in just five and two-thirds innings of work.
Parker, 23, was signed as an undrafted free agent and saw action in just five Arizona League games after signing with the Brewers. He posted a 6.75 earned run average in five outings, allowing four runs in five and a third innings.
