Spring Training Game Recap: 4/1/16

BREWERS 2, ASTROS 4

The Astros put up three runs in the sixth inning to double up the Brewers by a score of 4-2 on Friday afternoon in Houston. Domingo Santana homered in the top of the first, but Tyler White answered right back with a home run in the second off of starter Matt Garza. Ryan Braun put the Brewers back on top with a home run in the top of the third and the score stayed that way until the sixth. Garza lasted just 3.1 innings before leaving with an injury. Tyler Thornburg was tagged with all three runs in the sixth and was saddled with the loss.

  1. So the press release from the Shuckers says 27 players but I only count 23. Do we know who the other 4 are? One has to be Nottingham.

  2. Haven’t seen anything official. My best guess would be Nottingham, Betancourt, McFarland and then maybe a third catcher like Rafael Neda? I thought Coulter would be ticketed for Biloxi too, but I don’t see where there’s any room for him in that outfield right now.
