BREWERS 7, SHUCKERS 4
The Brewers officially wrapped up spring training with a 7-4 win over Biloxi on Saturday afternoon. The Shuckers got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the first inning when Kyle Wren scored on a Nate Orf single. The Brewers answered back in the third as Domingo Santana and Ryan Braun each launched solo home runs. Milwaukee picked up two more in the fourth, but Jacob Nottingham cut into their lead when he blasted a home run in the bottom half of the inning. Nick Ramirez, playing for the Brewers team doubled home Wren in the fifth, but Brett Phillips crushed a two run home run in the sixth to make the score 5-4. It stayed that way until the eighth inning when Brewers coach Jason Lane hit a pinch hit home run off of reliever Stephen Peterson. Milwaukee added one more in the ninth for the final margin of victory. Chase Anderson picked up the win for the Brewers with Daniel Tillman collecting the save. Jorge Ortega, who started for Biloxi, went four innings, allowing four runs and was charged with the loss.
