THURSDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 0, St. Louis Cardinals 7

The Brewers offense managed just one hit as they were shutout by the Cardinals, losing by a score of 7-0. Wily Peralta started for Milwaukee, but gave up five runs over five innings of work and suffered his third loss of the year. Domingo Santana singled for the lone Brewers base hit and Martin Maldonado reached base on a walk.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 7, Nashville Sounds 5

The Sky Sox rallied for four runs in the eighth as they cam back to defeat Nashville 7-5. Michael Reed and Alex Presley each picked up three hits for Colorado Springs with Garin Cecchini, Manny Pina and Hernan Perez each adding two hits. Brent Suter started and went six innings, allowing four runs. Brooks Hall followed and got the win with Damien Magnifico recording the final three outs for the save.

BILOXI SHUCKERS, Mobile BayBears (PPD, Wet Grounds)

Biloxi and Mobile had their game postponed due to unplayable field conditions on Thursday night. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday night.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2, Fort Myers Miracle 7

Brevard dropped another game to Fort Myers, falling by a score of 7-2. The Manatees managed just four hits, getting singles from Johnny Davis, Clint Coulter, Blake Allemand and Brandon Diaz. Kodi Medeiros made the start for Brevard and took the loss, allowing four runs, three earned in 3.2 innings of action.

Peoria Chiefs 0, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 4

Three Timber Rattlers pitchers combined to shutout Peoria in a 4-0 Wisconsin victory. Jordan Yamamoto got the start and worked four innings, striking out five. Nate Griep followed with two scoreless and picked up the win with David Burkhalter going the final three for the save. Tucker Neuhaus led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and a triple while Carlos Belonis and David Denson each chipped in two hits.
