SUNDAY’S RESULTS

Philadelphia Phillies 5, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 8

The Brewers got home runs from Ryan Braun, Scooter Gennett and Alex Presley as they avoided a sweep at the hands of the Phillies with an 8-5 win. Wily Peralta picked up his first win of the year, going six innings and giving up just three earned runs. Jeremy Jeffress recorded his sixth save in as many tries. Braun, Domingo Santana, Chris Carter and Kirk Nieuwenhuis each finished the day with two hits.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 5, Omaha Storm Chasers 6

After a rain delay that lasted over an hour, Omaha tied the game with a run in the eighth, then walked off winners with a run in the tenth, beating the Sky Sox 6-5. Ariel Pena started but lasted just 2.2 innings, allowing two runs. Damien Magnifico was charged with the loss after allowing his first run of the year. Keon Broxton and Eric Young Jr. each homered for Colorado Springs while Andy Wilkins, Hernan Perez and Josmil Pinto each contributed two hits.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 4, Mississippi Braves 2

The Shuckers scored 4 in the sixth as they doubled up Mississippi 4-2. Josh Hader went four scoreless innings, striking out eight, but his high pitch count led to another early exit for the righty. Tristan Archer followed with three strong innings of relief to earn the win with Jaye Chapman notching his eighth save. Tyrone Taylor paced the offense, going 3-for-4 while Javier Betancourt added two hits and Chris McFarland added a double.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2, Clearwater Threshers 5

The Manatees dropped their seventh straight game, falling to Clearwater 5-2 on Sunday afternoon. Kodi Mediros was on the mound the Manatees and was charged with the loss after giving up four runs over 4.2 innings of work. George Iskenderian picked up a pair of hits for Brevard while Angel Ortega had the lone extra base hit, going 1-for-4 with a double.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 5, Peoria Chiefs 1

Wisconsin scored four runs in the top of the 11th to pull out an extra innings win over Peoria by a score of 5-1. Jordan Yamamoto started and went seven innings, allowing just one run. David Burkhalter followed with three scoreless and picked up the win. Jake Gatewood led the offense for the Rattlers, going 2-for-5 with two doubles while Luis Aviles, Mitch Ghelfi and Elvis Rubio each added two hits.
