SUNDAY’S RESULTS

San Diego Padres 2, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 3

Zach Davies turned in another quality start for the Brewers, going 6.1 and allowing just two runs in a 3-2 Milwaukee win. Blaine Boyer picked up the win and Jeremy Jeffress notched his tenth save. Chris Carter had a single, double and home run to lead the Brewers offense. Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4 with his fifth homer and Hernan Perez finished 2-for-4 with a double.

Salt Lake Bees 4, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 5

The Sky Sox used a four run fourth inning to topple Salt Lake en route to their fifth straight victory on Sunday afternoon. Hiram Burgos got the start for Colorado Springs and earned the win, going seven innings and giving up three runs. David Goforth worked the final two scoreless to earn the save. Keon Broxton and Josmil Pinto each reached base twice, with a single and a walk while right fielder Ben Guez drew three walks in three plate appearances.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 1, Chattanooga Lookouts 2

Biloxi dropped a low scoring affair with Chattanooga, losing by score of 2-1. Jorge Ortega started for the Shuckers and was charged with the loss despite allowing just two runs over 6.1 innings of work. Catcher Rene Garcia went 3-for-3 while third baseman Brandon Macias picked up a pair of doubles and Jacob Nottingham went 2-for-4

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 5, Dunedin Blue Jays 4

The Manatees won another close contest with Dunedin thanks to a three run seventh that put them on top to stay. Kodi Medeiros started but went just two innings before leaving with an apparent injury. Kender Villegas followed and gave up three runs over four innings, but picked up the win with Clint Terry going the final three frames for the save. Outfielders Omar Garcia and Brandon Diaz each collected two hits for the Manatees in four plate appearances.

Cedar Rapids Kernels 1, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 7

After giving up 27 runs to Cedar Rapids over the past two days, four Wisconsin pitchers combined to allow just one hit on Sunday afternoon in a 7-1 T-Rats win. Freddy Peralta started and struck out seven over three and two-thirds, giving up just one hit and an unearned run. Marcos Diplan struck out six over four hitless innings and improved his record to 4-1 on the season. David Denson contributed a pair of hits, including his second home run in as many days and Jake Gatewood added a single and a double.
