WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Chicago Cubs 2, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 1

A bases loaded walk in the top of the 13th pushed the Cubs to victory over the Brewers by a score of 2-1 on ednesday night. Jimmy Nelson started and went scoreless innings but received a no-decision. Carlos Torres was charged with the loss after giving up a run in his lone inning of action. Jonathan Lucroy, Jonathan Villar and Kirk Nieuwenhuis each contributed a double for Milwaukee.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 5, Chattanooga Lookouts 4

Biloxi scored a pair of runs in the seventh to pull out a 5-4 victory over Chattanooga. Wei-Chung Wang started and went five allowing three runs. Hobbs Johnson followed and picked up the win with Tristan Archer recording the save. Victor Roache hit his fourth home run of the season while Tyrone Taylor and Garrett Cooper each chipped in two hits.

Bradenton Marauders 2, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 3

Brevard scored three in the second and made that stand up as they managed a 3-2 win in the first game of their doubleheader. Eric Hanhold got the start and went 5.1, allowing two runs, one earned, to collect the win. Jon Olczak recorded the final five outs for his third save. Johnny Davis had two hits and a walk and Jose Cuas added a double.

Bradenton Marauders 8, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 0

Bradenton earned a split of their doubleheader with an 8-0 victory in game two. Bubba Derby started and took the loss, going 3.1 innings and allowing four runs. Johnny Davis singled and walked to raise his batting average to .309 with Greg McCall and Omar Garcia each adding a single for the only other Manatee hits.

Burlington Bees 1, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 9

Wisconsin piled up nine runs on thirteen hits as they rolled over Burlington 9-1 at Fox Cities Stadium. Devin Williams started on the mound and went four innings, allowing just one run while striking out five. Jordan Yamamoto followed with four scoreless innings of relief and picked up the win. Monte Harrison reached base four times with a single, a double and a pair of walks. Jacob Gatewood finished 2-for-4 with his sixth home run and Luis Aviles added a single and a double.
