SATURDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 4, New York Mets 5

David Wright’s walk-off single in the ninth gave the Mets a 5-4 win over the Brewers on Saturday afternoon. Zach Davies started and went 5.1 innings, allowing four runs. Michael Blazek allowed the final run and was charged with the loss. Ramon Flores hit his first home run of the season for Milwaukee while shortstop Jonathan Villar added a pair of doubles as part of a 3-for-5 day.

Las Vegas 51s 4, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 3

Las Vegas pushed across a run in the top of the ninth to defeat Colorado Springs 4-3. Hiram Burgos started and went five scoreless but Damien Magnifico was charged with the loss after allowing a run in 1.1 innings of relief. Shane Peterson went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season while Manny Pina added a single and a triple in four trips to the plate.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 9, Tennessee Smokies 10

Tennessee rallied for four runs in the seventh and five in the eighth as they came back to knock off Biloxi 10-9. Adrian Houser made the start for the Shuckers and went six innings, allowing just one run. Tyler Spurlin allowed three runs in two-thirds of an inning and was charged with the loss. Kyle Wren reached base four times with two singles, two walks and a stolen base and Nick Ramirez added a double and a home run.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 0, Jupiter Hammerheads 2

The Manatees were shutout by Jupiter, falling by a score of 2-0. Jon Perrin allowed just one earned run in seven innings of work but wound up suffering the loss for Brevard. Elvis Rubio went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Manatees offense. Fidel Pena had a pair of hits and Johnny Davis reached base twice, going 1-for-3 with a base on balls.

Kane County Cougars 3, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 7

The Timber Rattlers piled up seven runs on thirteen hits as they topped Kane County 7-3. Marcos Diplan started and went five innings without allowing an earned run to lower his ERA to 1.56 and pick up the win while Freddy Peralta worked the final four frames to collect the save. Luis Aviles finished 3-for-4 with a triple while Alan Sharkey and Mitch Ghelfi each chipped in two hits and David Denson added his third home run of the year.
