FRIDAY’S RESULTS

Cincinnati Reds 5, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 9

Aaron Hill belted a pair of home runs as the Brewers won their fourth straight game, defeating the Reds by a score of 9-5. Zach Davies started and earned the win, going 5.2 innings and giving up five runs. Jonathan Villar finished 3-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases while Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4 with his 7th home run of the year and Keon Broxton reached base three times with a single, double and walk.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 17, Fresno Grizzlies 4

The Sky Sox got grand slams from Andy Wilkins and Will Middlebrooks and Shane Peterson finished 5-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and a walk as the Sky Sox rolled over Fresno 17-4. Yadiel Rivera went 3-for-6 with a double and Garin Cecchini also added a home run. Tyler Cravy got the start and notched his first win of the year with Brent Suter working the final four innings for the save.

Mobile BayBears 1, BILOXI SHUCKERS 0

Mobile scored a run in the top of the ninth to help them top Biloxi 1-0. Jorge Ortega started for the Shuckers and went 6.1 scoreless innings, striking out six. Stephen Kohlscheen suffered the loss after giving up the only run of the game in his lone inning on the mound. Jacob Nottingham went 2-for-4 with Kyle Wren, Garrett Cooper and Brandon Macias adding the other Biloxi base hits.

Tampa Yankees 7, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2

Tampa scored five in the ninth as they dropped Brevard to 16-32 on the season with a 7-2 win. Kodi Medeiros started and went five innings, allowing just one run. Clint Terry was charged with the loss despite giving up only an unearned run in 2.1 innings. Angel Ortega went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in and Jose Cuas reached base four times with a single and three walks.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 8, Cedar Rapids Kernels 3

The Timber Rattlers scored six runs in the fourth inning and they topped Cedar Rapids 8-3. David Burkhalter got the start and picked up the win, going 5.2 innings with just one run allowed. Luis Aviles finished 2-for-5 with a double for Wisconsin while Blake Allemand also had two hits in five at-bats and Isan Diaz, Jake Gatewood and Alan Sharkey each contributed a double.
