SATURDAY’S RESULTS

Cincinnati Reds 7, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 6

Cincinnati plated a run in the top of the ninth after an apparent inning-ending double play was overturned and it proved to be the difference in a 7-6 loss for the Brewers. Chase Anderson started and went five innings, allowing one run. Michael Blazek allowed five runs in two-thirds of an inning and Jeremy Jeffress was charged with the loss after giving up the ninth inning run. Jonathan Lucroy hit his eighth home run of the season and Aaron Hill reached base four times with two hits and two walks.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 4, Fresno Grizzlies 8

Fresno got a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth off of Jaye Chapman to walk off with an 8-4 win over Colorado Springs. Sam Freeman started for the Sky Sox and went 2.2 innings, allowing two runs. Third baseman Yadiel Riveraa finished 2-for-5 with a double and a triple while Jake Elmore and Andy Wilkins each added two hits and Manny Pina cranked his fourth home run of the year.

Mobile BayBears 1, BILOXI SHUCKERS 2

Biloxi scored a run in the bottom of the 10th to walk off with a 2-1 victory over Mobile. Josh Hader started and gave up just one run over 5.1 innings. Daniel Tillman tossed a scoreless inning of relief and earned his third win of the year. Brett Phillips finished 3-for-5 in his first game back from the DL and Victor Roache went 2-for-4 with a double.

Tampa Yankees 9, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 6

The Manatees scored three runs in the seventh and three in the eighth but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Tampa 9-6. Eric Hanhold started and took the loss after giving up all nine runs in 3.1 innings. Jose Cuas had a double for the lone Brevard extra-base hit while Johnny Davis, Dustin DeMuth and Fidel Pena each collected a pair of hits and Adam Weisenburger added a single and three walks.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 2, Cedar Rapids Kernels 1

It took 11 innings, but Wisconsin was able to knock off Cedar Rapids, winning by a score of 2-1 on Saturday night. Jordan Yamamoto started and went 5.1 scoreless innings for the Rattlers. Devin Williams went 4.1, allowing just one run and picked up the win with Nate Griep securing his seventh save. Blake Allemand finished 2-for-4 with a double and Luis Aviles went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored.
