SUNDAY’S RESULTS

Cincinnati Reds 4, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 5

The Brewers took the finale of their series with Cincinnati, holding on for a 5-4 win on Sunday afternoon. Jimmy Nelson started and improved his record to 5-3 on the season, going 7.1 and allowing just two runs. Blaine Boyer worked the ninth and picked up the save, despite giving up a pair of runs. Jonathan Lucroy finished 2-for-2 with a triple and a walk while Jonathan Villar reached base four times and stole his 18th base of the year and Hernan Perez and Alex Presley each chipped in a double.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 7, Fresno Grizzlies 5

The Sky Sox scored three runs in the top of the eighth to come back and knock off Fresno 7-5. Taylor Jungmann started and allowed just one earned run over five innings of work. Austin Ross followed and got the win with Jacob Barnes earning his first save. Nate Orf finished 3-for-4 with three doubles with Will Middlebrooks and Josmil Pinto each going 2-for-4 with a double.

Mobile BayBears 3, BILOXI SHUCKERS 7

Biloxi scored four runs in the sixth inning to help topple Mobile by a score of 7-3. Brooks Hall got the starting nod for the Shuckers and earned the win, going five scoreless and striking out seven. Nick Ramirez drew a pair of walks and belted his fourth home run of the season while Brett Phillips added his seventh homer. Chris McFarland, Tyrone Taylor and Victor Roache each finished with a single and a walk.

Tampa Yankees 6, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 4

The Manatees dropped their fourth straight as Tampa finished off a sweep of their series with a 6-4 win. Bubba Derby started and was charged with the loss, going 5.1 innings and giving up five runs, two earned. Angel Ortega finished 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs batted in for Brevard County while Adam Weisenburger and Fidel Pena each contributed two base hits.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 8, Cedar Rapids Kernels 9

The Timber Rattlers blew a six run lead as Cedar Rapids came from behind to defeat Wisconsin 9-8. Drake Owenby got the start and worked 5.1 giving up four runs, three earned. Miguel Diaz suffered the loss after working the final 2.1 and allowing five runs, four earned. Mitch Ghelfi went 2-for-4 with a double while Luis Aviles and Blake Allemand each added two hits and David Denson hit his fourth home run of the season.
