TUESDAY’S RESULTS

St. Louis Cardinals 10, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 3

The Brewers were beaten soundly by St. Louis once again, losing by a score of 10-3 at Miller Park on Tuesday night. Wily Peralta started and fell to 3-6 on the year after giving up three runs over five innings. Catcher Jonathan Lucroy doubled and hit his ninth home run of the season while second baseman Scooter Gennett added a double and shortstop Jonathan Villar reached base twice, going 1-for-3 with a walk.

Omaha Storm Chasers, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX (Postponed, Rain)

The Sky Sox and Storm Chasers were rained out on Tuesday night. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Wednesday evening.

Mississippi Braves 1, BILOXI SHUCKERS 7

Biloxi scored seven runs on ten hits as they rolled over Mississippi 7-1. Brandon Woodruff started and picked up the win, going seven innings and giving up just one run. Domingo Santana walked and homered in game one of his rehab stint while Jacob Nottingham went 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run. Nick Shaw singled and tripled while Nate Orf added a double and a walk in his first game back in Biloxi.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 7, Lakeland Tigers 4

The Manatees found their way back into the win column, knocking off Lakeland by a score of 7-4. Dustin DeMuth led the Brevard attack, going 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and five runs batted in. Johnny Davis reached base three times and stole his 15th base of the year and Taylor Brennan belted his second home run of the season. Corey Knebel made the start in his first rehab appearance with the Manatees and worked a scoreless first. Angel Ventura followed and picked up the win, allowing three earned runs over five innings. Gage Smith recorded the final five outs and earned the save.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 1, Peoria Chiefs 5

Peoria scored three runs in the second inning and that proved to be more than enough as they topped Wisconsin 5-1. Matt Garza started and took the loss, giving up three runs in just two innings of work. Blake Allemand had a multi-hit game for the seventh time in his last eight games as he extended his hitting streak to nine games with a single and a double in four trips to the plate. Isan Diaz also had two hits and Carlos Belonis picked up the only other Rattlers hit of the game.

    • I haven’t seen one specifically for the Brewers but I know a lot of teams are winding down and have either wrapped up already or are wrapping up their extended spring schedule over the next few days. They usually give the guys in Maryvale a little time off before the rookie league season starts in a few weeks.
