SUNDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 1, Philadelphia Phillies 8

The Brewers were thumped by the Phillies on Sunday afternoon, losing by a score of 8-1. Wily Peralta saw his record fall to 3-7 after lasting just 4.1 innings and giving up six runs, five earned. Ramon Flores reached base three times for Milwaukee, going 2-for-3 with a walk while Scooter Gennett, Jonathan Lucroy and Hernan Perez each added two hits.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 0, New Orleans Zephyrs 3

Colorado Springs was shutout by New Orleans as they fell by a score of 3-0. Corey Knebel made the start as part of his rehab appearance and worked a scoreless first before giving way to Jorge Lopez. Lopez went 5.2 innings, allowing three runs and was charged with the loss. Michael Reed had two hits in three at-bats for the Sky Sox while Josmil Pinto went 1-for-3 and Will Middlebrooks added a double.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 4, Montgomery Biscuits 2

The Shuckers doubled up Montgomery 4-2 to improve their record to 31-24. Brandon Woodruff started and picked up the win, going 5.2 innings and giving up two runs and Daniel Tillman tossed a scoreless ninth to record the save. Jacob Nottingham slugged his seventh home run of the season as part of a 3-for-4 day while Nate Orf added two hits in three at-bats.

St. Lucie Mets 7, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 0

The Manatees were shutout once again, falling to St. Lucie 7-0. Angel Ventura got the start and suffered the loss, allowing four runs in four innings of work. Josh Uhen followed with three innings, giving up one run and Kaleb Earls worked the final two, allowing two runs, one earned. Brevard managed just two hits, a double by Greg McCall and a single by George Iskenderian

Kane County Cougars 3, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 2

Kane County plated a run in the top of the eighth to help them defeat Wisconsin 3-2. Marcos Diplan made the start for the Timber Rattlers and went five innings, allowing two runs and striking out eight. Freddy Peralta gave up one run over three innings and took the loss. Isan Diaz drew three walks while David Denson finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and Luis Aviles added a double.
