SATURDAY’S RESULTS

New York Mets 4, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 7

The Brewers belted five home runs on Saturday afternoon as they topped the Mets by a score of 7-4. Ryan Braun belted his 10th and 11th home runs of the season while Chris Carter, Scooter Gennett and Wily Peralta each contributed a long ball for Milwaukee. Peralta got the start and earned the win, going five innings and allowing three runs and Jeremy Jeffress recorded his 17th save.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 0, Memphis Redbirds 2

The Sky Sox were shutout by Memphis, losing by a score of 2-0. Jorge Lopez started and went six innings, allowing just one run, but was charged with the loss. Orlando Arcia finished 1-for-3 with a triple while Yadiel Rivera, Josmil Pinto, Garin Cecchini and Eric Young Jr. each added a base hit.

Birmingham Barons 2, BILOXI SHUCKERS 4

Biloxi doubled up Birmingham, pulling out a 4-2 victory. Adrian Houser got the start and did not allow an earned run over seven innings as he picked up the win. Stephen Kohlscheen allowed one run in his inning of work but recorded the save. Newly acquired shortstop Gabriel Noriega went 2-for-3 with a home run in his Shuckers debut while Tyrone Taylor added his second home run of the season.

Fort Myers Miracle 1, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2

It took ten innings but the Manatees plated a run in the bottom of the tenth inning to walk off with a 2-1 win over Fort Myers. Angel Ventura started and worked six scoreless innings for Brevard. Gage Smith allowed one run over the final two innings and picked up the win. Omar Garcia had two hits and a walk from the leadoff spot and Malik Collymore finished 1-for-3 with a double.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 5, Kane County Cougars 4

The Rattlers scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning as they beat Kane County 5-4. Freddy Peralta started and went five innings, allowing two earned runs with Scott Grist getting the win and Nate Griep nothing the save. Monte Harrison went 2-for-4 with his sixth home run of the year for Wisconsin. Max McDowell singled, doubled and drew a pair of walks while Isan Diaz and David Denson each added two hits.

DSL Cardinals 7, DSL BREWERS 8

The Brewers rallied for a run in the bottom of the 11th inning to come away with an 8-7 walk-off win over the Cardinals. Joaquin De La Cruz started and went 4.2 innings allowing four runs. Jesus Brea worked the final two scoreless to earn the win. Josue Herrera finished 3-for-6 with a double while Bryan Connell and Bryan Torres each added two hits and Jay Feliciano launched his first home run of the season.
