MONDAY’S RESULTS

Omaha Storm Chasers 2, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 4

Colorado Springs doubled up Omaha 4-2 in a contest that was called after four and a half innings due to rain. Hiram Burgos started and went five innings, allowing two runs to pick up the victory. Josmil Pinto had a double and a home run in two at-bats for the Sky Sox with Andy Wilkins adding his ninth home run and Orlando Arcia collecting his ninth double of the year.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2, Dunedin Blue Jays 3

The Manatees rallied to tie the game with a run in the eighth, but Dunedin scored in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with a 3-2 win over Brevard. Bubba Derby started and went six innings, allowing two runs. Junior Rincon followed and was charged with the loss after giving up a run in 2.1 innings of work. Elvis Rubio finished 2-for-4 while Angel Ortega added a single and a walk.

Great Falls Voyagers 13, HELENA BREWERS 5

Helena lost their first game of the season, dropping the finale of their series with Great Falls by a score of 13-5. Nattino Diplan started and was charged with the loss after recording just one out and giving up five runs. Colton Cross tossed four scoreless innings of relief. Lucas Erceg led the offense, going 3-for-5 with a double while Nathan Rodriguez added a pair of doubles and Demi Orimoloye reached base three times with a single and two walks.

AZL BREWERS 3, AZL Cubs 5

In Arizona, the Brewers dropped their AZL opener, falling to the Cubs by a score of 5-3. Nash Walters started and went four scoreless, striking out six. Aaron Myers followed with two shutout innings of relief but Boanerges Nova got roughed up for five runs over two innings and took the loss. Jose Gomez had two hits out of the leadoff spot and Nicolas Pierre finished 1-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in.

DSL Tigers 7, DSL BREWERS 10

The Brewers rallied for three runs in the eighth, three in the ninth and then walked off with three more in the tenth as they came back from six runs down to top the Tigers. Maiker Pinto started and went five, allowing all seven runs. Johan Dominguez worked a scoreless tenth an picked up the win. Jose Sibrian and Marcos Pinero each recorded two hits for the Brewers and Luis Avalo hit his first home run of the year, a three-run shot to provide the margin of victory.
