Minor League Baseball announced the initial rosters for the Triple-A All-Star game on Thursday afternoon and three Milwaukee Brewers farmhands were selected to participate for the Pacific Coast League team when they take on the International League All-Stars on Wednesday, July 13.
Shortstop Orlando Arcia, catcher Manny Pina and relief pitcher Damien Magnifico were all selected to represent the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in the contest.
Arcia, 21, is batting .269 with six home runs through the first 73 games of the season. He’s knocked in 33 runs and scored 45 while playing outstanding defense up the middle for the Sky Sox.
Pina, 29, has been a consistent force at the plate for Colorado Springs all season. In 44 games, the Venezuelan backstop is hitting .354 with 20 extra-base hits.
Magnifico, 25, has served as the Sky Sox primary closer, converting on 12 of 13 save attempts while posting a 2.92 earned run average and holding opposing hitters to a .226 batting average.
The Triple-A All-Star Game will take place at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, North Carolina at 6:00 PM CST and will be televised on MLB Network.
