Major League Baseball announced their All-Star game rosters on Tuesday night and Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy was selected to represent the National League in the mid-summer classic in San Diego.
Lucroy, 30, was an All-Star in 2014 and has put together another terrific season in 2016 despite constant trade speculation. In 76 games, he is batting .296 with 16 doubles, ten home runs and 39 runs batted in while posting an OPS of .839.
In addition to Lucroy, Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun also has an opportunity to make the squad, as he was one of five players added to the National League’s Final Vote. Fans can cast their ballots at MLB.com to try to get Braun added as an All-Star for the seventh time.
