WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Arizona Diamondbacks 8, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 1

The Diamondbacks roughed up the Brewers at Miller Park on Wednesday night, knocking off Milwaukee by a score of 8-1. Jimmy Nelson got the start and took the loss, going 4.2 innings and giving up all eight runs, six earned. Jonathan Villar and Jonathan Lucroy each doubled while Scooter Gennett added a single and a walk.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 0, Nashville Sounds 2

The Sky Sox were shutout in a matinee, falling to Nashville 2-0. Aaron Wilkerson got the start and was charged with the loss, going six innings and giving up just two runs while striking out six. Kyle Wren continued to pace the offense, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base and Brandon Macias added a single in three trips to the plate.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 1, Mobile BayBears 2

Mobile scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with a 2-1 win over Biloxi. Taylor Jungmann started and went eight innings, giving up one run. Stephen Peterson worked two-thirds of an inning and was charged with the loss. Johnny Davis went 3-for-4 with a double while Javier Betancourt hit his fourth home run of the year in his first game off the disabled list.

Tampa Yankees 2, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 0

Brevard County was shutout by Tampa, falling by a score of 2-0. Freddy Peralta got the start and suffered the loss, going five innings and giving up two runs. Jon Perrin followed with four scoreless innings of relief. Corey Ray and George Iskenderian each finished 3-for-4 while Jose Cuas added a single and a walk.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 3, Clinton LumberKings 8

Clinton scored in six of eight innings they sent batters to the plate as they rolled over Wisconsin 8-3. Jake Drossner started and took the loss, going 5.2 innings and giving up six runs. Max McDowell led the Timber Rattlers offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run while Lucas Erceg and Carlos Belonis each added a base hit.

Ogden Raptors 4, HELENA BREWERS 5

In a game that was suspended on Tuesday night with Helena up 5-0 in the top of the second, the Brewers held on for a 5-4 victory in game one of their doubleheader. Wuilder Rodriguez started and worked 1.2 scoreless innings. Jordan Desguin followed and picked up the win, going four innings and giving up four runs. Joantgel Segovia picked up four hits in four at-bats while Caleb Whalen added a single and a double.

Ogden Raptors 10, HELENA BREWERS 4

Ogden earned a split of their doubleheader, taking game two by a score of 10-4. Scott Serigstad got the starting nod and took the loss, giving up seven runs over two and a third innings of work. Nathan Rodriguez went 2-for-3 and hit his second home run of the season and Ronnie Gideon added a double and drove in a run.

AZL BREWERS 1, AZL Angels 9

The Angels scored four in the fourth and five in the fifth as they cruised to a 9-1 victory over the Brewers in Tempe. Javi Salas got the start and worked three scoreless innings, but the Angels got to Nelson Hernandez, who was charged with the loss affter giving up six runs in an inning and two-thirds. Jose Gomez had two hits while Ignacio Otano, Mario Feleciano and Trey York each added a single.

DSL Nationals 5, DSL BREWERS 3

The Brewers scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough as they lost to the Nationals 5-3. Jenri Montas started and took the loss, going 3.1 innings and giving up three runs. Edwin Sano and Javier Castillo each finished 2-for-4 with a double while Jesus Lujano went 2-for-3 and drew a base on balls.
