THURSDAY’S RESULTS

Arizona Diamondbacks 4, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 6

The Brewers took the finale of their series with Arizona, winning 6-4 at Miller Park on Thursday afternoon. Zach Davies started and earned his eighth win of the year, giving up two runs over six and a third inning. Jeremy Jeffress recorded his 24th save with a scoreless ninth. Hernan Perez led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of stolen bases and Kirk Nieuwenhuis added his ninth home run.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 1, Nashville Sounds 2

Nashville clipped Colorado Springs by a score of 2-1. Brent Suter got the start and suffered the loss, going 6.2 innings and giving up two runs. Orlando Arcia led the Sky Sox offense, going 3-for-4 with a double while Kyle Wren added a double and Yadiel Rivera chipped in a base hit.

Mobile BayBears 1, BILOXI SHUCKERS 2

Biloxi scored two runs in the bottom of the second and that proved to be enough as they defeated Mobile 2-1. Wei-Chung Wang got the start and earned the win, going six innings and giving up just one run. Stephen Kohlscheen worked a scoreless ninth for the save. Nick Ramirez went 1-for-2 with a home run and a walk while Tyrone Taylor and Jacob Nottingham each added a single.

Tampa Yankees 5, BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 1

The Manatees offense sputtered once again as they fell to the Yankees 5-1. Bubba Derby got the start and was charged with the loss, going five innings and giving up five runs. Kender Villegas followed and worked three scoreless innings of relief. Blake Allemand went 2-for-4 while Corey Ray and George Iskenderian each added a single and a walk.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 2, Clinton LumberKings 1

The Timber Rattlers edged Clinton by a score of 2-1. Zack Brown got the start and went five scoreless innings, striking out six. Corbin Burnes tossed the final three shutout frames and picked up the win. Troy Stokes reached base three times, going 2-for-3 with a double and a walk while Trent Clark and Isan Diaz each added a pair of hits.

AZL Padres 0, AZL BREWERS 9

Four Brewers pitchers combined to shutout the Padres as they cruised to a 9-0 win in Maryvale. Emerson Gibbs started and earned the win after tossing five scoreless innings. Christian Trent, Dalton Brown and Miguel Sanchez combined to shut the Padres down over the final four frames. Johel Atencio went 3-for-3 with a triple and a walk and knocked in four runs while Jose Gomez, Nicol Valderrey and Francisco Thomas each added two hits.

DSL BREWERS 7, DSL Nationals 3

The Brewers scored four runs in the fifth as they topped the Nationals 7-3. Johan Dominguez got the start and earned the win, going six innings and giving up two runs. Jesus Brea tossed the final three innings and earned the save. Luis Manon and Moises Perez each finished 2-for-4 with a double while Antonio Pinero added two hits and two walks and Luis Avalo, Javier Castillo and Jesus Lujano each chipped in two hits.
