WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Atlanta Braves 3, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 4

The Brewers edged the Braves 4-3 at Miller Park on Wednesday night. Chase Anderson got the start and earned the win, going 5.1 innings and giving up two runs. Tyler Thornburg worked a scoreless ninth to earn his fourth save. Martin Maldonado had three hits in four at-bats while Chris Carter added his 26th home run of the season.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 4, Omaha Storm Chasers 1

Colorado Springs knocked off Omaha by a score of 4-1 despite being out-hit 10-5. Wei-Chung Wang got the start and went five innings, giving up just one unearned run. Sam Freeman worked a scoreless sixth and earned the win with Damien Magnifico recording the safe. Yadiel Rivera went 2-for-4 while Michael Reed added his seventh home run of the season.

BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 1, Lakeland Tigers 2

Lakeland scored a run in the bottom of the 17th to defeat Brevard County by a score of 2-1. Bubba Derby got the start and went 7.2 innings, giving up only one run. Clint Terry tossed five scoreless innings of relief but the Tigers got to Brad Kuntz for the final run as Kuntz took the loss. Blake Allemand and Mitch Ghelfi each finished with a single and a double.

HELENA BREWERS 3, Grand Junction Rockies 14

Grand Junction scored eleven runs in the fifth inning as they rolled over Helena 14-3. Nattino Diplan started and took the loss, giving up five runs over four innings. Ryan Aguilar finished 2-for-5 with two doubles out of the leadoff spot for the Brewers while Gilbert Lara went 2-for-3 and Yoel Vasquez added his first home run of the year.

AZL BREWERS, AZL Reds (Suspended, Inclement Weather)

The Brewers scored a run in the top of the first before their game with the Reds was suspended after two innings. Monte Harrison returned to action and went 1-for-1 while Ignacio Otano and Zach Clark each added a hit as well.

DSL Angels 4, DSL BREWERS 2

The Brewers were doubled up by the Angels, falling by a score of 4-2. Luis Cordero started and took the loss, going four innings and giving up one run. Moises Perez led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Aaron Familia doubled and walked while Bryan Torres and Jose Pena each added a base hit.
