Atlanta Braves 3, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 11
The Brewers scored a run in every inning on Thursday afternoon as they earned a split of their series with the Braves with a 11-3 victory at Miller Park. Matt Garza got the start and the win, going six and giving up two runs. Chris Carter, Scooter Gennett and Hernan Perez each homered for Milwaukee with Perez and Jonathan Villar each picking up three hits.
BILOXI SHUCKERS 4, Jackson Generals 3
Biloxi plated a run in the top of the eleventh inning as they clipped Jackson 4-3 in extra innings. Luis Ortiz got the start and went 3.2 innings, giving up one unearned run. Tristan Archer worked the final two scoreless frames for the win. Jacob Nottingham finished 3-for-6 with a pair of doubles while Brett Phillips, Tom Belza and Rene Garcia added two hits each.
BREVARD COUNTY MANATEES 2, Dunedin Blue Jays 4
Brevard got home runs from Corey Ray and Wendell Rijo but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Dunedin 4-2. Cody Ponce got the start and went six innings, giving up two runs, one earned. Javi Salas followed and was charged with the loss after allowing two runs over two innings. Ray finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base and Mitch Ghelfi added a double.
WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 3, Beloit Snappers 4
Lucas Erceg launched a three-run home run with one out in the ninth inning to tie the game but Beloit scored a run in the bottom of the 13th to walk off with a 4-3 win over Wisconsin. Jordan Yamamoto got the start and went five innings, giving up two earned runs. David Lucroy allowed the final run and was charged with the loss. Max McDowell finished with two hits in five at-bats.
AZL BREWERS 3, AZL White Sox 4
The White Sox scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Brewers dropped another extra innings contest 4-3. Wilson Adams got the start and worked two scoreless innings. Andrew Vernon came on for the 10th and was charged with the loss after allowing one run in a third of an inning. Ignacio Otano went 2-for-4 while Gabriel Garcia added a single and a walk.
DSL BREWERS 3, DSL Angels 4
The Brewers fell to 20 games under .500 as they were edged by the Angels 4-3. Johan Dominguez got the start and was charged with the loss despite allowing just one unearned run over four innings of work. Luis Avalo led the Brewers offense, going 2-for-4 while Moises Perez went 1-for-3 with a double.
