FRIDAY’S RESULTS

Pittsburgh Pirates 5, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 3

The Pirates scored five runs in the top of the sixth to top the Brewers 5-3 at Miller Park on Friday night. Matt Garza started and took the loss, allowing five runs over 5.1 innings of work. Orlando Arcia hit his first home run of the season while Ryan Braun added two hits and Keon Broxton chipped in a double.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX, Oklahoma City Dodgers (Postponed, Rain)

The Sky Sox and Dodgers had their game postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday.

Mississippi Braves 6, BILOXI SHUCKERS 10

Biloxi scored seven runs in the eight inning to come from behind and defeat Mississippi 10-6. Angel Ventura got the start for the Shuckers and went five innings, allowing three unearned runs. Junior Rincon tossed a scoreless inning of relief and picked up the win. Jacob Nottingham finished 2-for-4 with a home run while Angel Ortega and Gabriel Noriega each added two hits.

BREVARD COUNTY MANTEES 6, Tampa Yankees 7

Brevard’s ninth inning rally fell just short as they lost to Tampa 7-6. Jon Perrin started and took the loss, going five innings and giving up four runs. Brandon Diaz reached base four times, going 3-for-4 with a walk and a double. Jose Cuas and Mitch Ghelfi each finished with three hits as well and Blake Allemand and Wendell Rijo added two hits each.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 2, Quad Cities River Bandits 1

Wisconsin plated a run in the top of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie and come away with a victory over Quad Cities. Starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto went seven innings, allowing just one run and striking out ten. Miguel Sanchez worked the final two scoreless and earned the win. Lucas Erceg reached base twice with a walk and a single while Monte Harrison, Isan Diaz, Jake Gatewood and Carlos Belonis each added a base hit.

Great Falls Voyagers 7, HELENA BREWERS 2

Helena was no-hit through the first five innings as they fell to Great Falls 7-2. Nash Walter started and worked a scoreless first before turning things over to the pen. Santos Saldivar followed and took the loss, giving up three runs in an inning of work. Ronnie Gideon hit his 15th home run and Gilbert Lara added a double for the Brewers.

AZL BREWERS 6, AZL Dodgers 7

It took 16 innings but the Dodgers scored a run in the bottom of the 16th to walk off with a 7-6 win over the Brewers. Nelson Hernandez got the starting nod and went five, allowing three runs. Jeremy Newton surrendered the final run and took the loss. Chad McClanahan homered for the Brewers and Tucker Neuhaus went 3-for-5 with a triple.

DSL Angels 2, DSL BREWERS 4

The Brewers doubled up the Angels 4-2 in their second to last DSL game of the year. Jesus Brea got the start and went five innings, allowing just one run. Henry Medina went the final four, giving up one unearned run and earned the win. Antonio Pinero went 2-for-3 with a double while Luis Manon, Nic Pierre and Edwin Sano each added a single.
