SUNDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 10, Pittsburgh Pirates 0

Four Brewers pitchers combined to shutout the Pirates and Milwaukee put up ten runs on eleven hits as they earned a three game sweep of Pittsburgh. Chase Anderson got the start and worked five scoreless to pick up the win. Domingo Santana led the offense, going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs. Jonathan Villar came through with a pinch-hit grand slam and Chris Carter added his 32nd homer of the year.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 1, Iowa Cubs 5

The Sky Sox managed just one run on three hits as they fell to Iowa 5-1. Aaron Wilkerson started and took the loss, going 4.1 innings giving up five runs. Lewis Brinson finished 1-for-4 with a double while Andy Wilkins and Josmil Pinto each added a base hit.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 7, Mississippi Braves 0

Biloxi shutout Mississippi, winning by a score of 7-0. Brandon Woodruff got the starting nod and went seven scoreless to earn the win. Jacob Nottingham lled the offense, going 3-for-5 with a double and a home run. Clint Coulter also finished with three hits and Angel Ortega added a pair of singles.

Daytona Tortugas 6, BREVARD COUNTY MANTEES 4

Brevard County dropped the final game in team history, losing to Daytona 6-4. Bubba Derby started for the Manatees and took the loss, allowing four runs over five innings of work. Mitch Ghelfi went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in three runs. Trey York tripled and walked in four trips to the plate.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 6, Beloit Snappers 2

The Timber Rattlers locked up a playoff spot with a 6-2 win over the Snappers. Trey Supak made the start for Wisconsin and earned the win, going six innings and allowing just one run. Miguel Diaz tossed the final three innings to earn the save. Luis Aviles went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer run while Troy Stokes, Isan Diaz and Carlos Belonis each added two hits.

HELENA BREWERS 9, Billings Mustangs 7

Helena scored three in the seventh and four in the eighth as they topped Billings by a score of 9-7. Scott Serigstad got the start and worked five innings, allowing three runs. Shawn Clowers picked up the win with Colton Cross recording the save. Trever Morrison and Caleb Whalen each finished with three hits and Franly Mallen added a pair of singles.
