MLB Network, in conjunction with MLBPipeline.com, aired their annual Top 100 Prospect special on Saturday night and five Milwaukee Brewers prospects made their list, with outfielder Lewis Brinson checking in at #18.
Infielder Isan Diaz showed up at #65 with pitcher Luis Ortiz coming in three spots ahead of Diaz at #62. Left-hander Josh Hader entered the rankings at #38 and 2016 first-round pick Corey Ray appeared on the list at #30.
There wasn’t much discussion of the Brewers prospects on the list during the one hour television special, but with five of the top 65 prospects in the baseball, there’s little doubt that the Brewers boast on of the top systems in baseball.
Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi topped the rankings with Chicago White Sox second baseman Yoan Moncada coming in at number two. New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres ranked third, followed by Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Sawnson and New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario rounding out the top ten.
